HALLOWEEN IS ALMOST HERE!!!
I love the Fall. Don't get me wrong, I miss all the great things that go along with summer, but the colors of Autumn and the Indian Summer days are my favorite time of year. Maybe it's because my birthday is in the Fall...who knows?
This year, I was lucky enough to volunteer to go on the same field trip twice within the same week! Yes...I went to the Pumpkin Patch with both Nicholas' kindergaten class and Alyssa's preschool class. I guess I wasn't relly paying attention...Oh well! The weather was nice for Alyssa's class, but a little muddy for Nicholas' class. Both groups had a lot of fun, though, and they each got to pick out a pumpkin to bring home. They even let Nicholas' class go into the field to pick their pumpkins!
We're getting excited about Halloween. Alyssa is going to be Sleeping Beauty and Nicholas is going to be Darth Vader (from Star Wars). Depending on the weather, Emily will stay home with Dad and answer the door...Otherwise, I'm going to look around for Alyssa's flower costume from her first Halloween!

SHE'S GROWING LIKE A WEED...
I brought Emily to the doctor today for her two month check-up. She is nothing at all like Nicholas and Alyssa...Get this: she is in the 75th % for both weight and height. Now, I don't remember exactly where Nicholas and Alyssa were, but I can assure you it was much closer to the 10th or 25th%. YES! Our precious "little" Emily now weighs 11 lbs 3 1/2 oz and is 22 3/4 inches long! Amazing, huh?
I'll tell ya, though, she is such a happy, content little girl! She's cooing and smiling all the time now. Nicholas and Alyssa both love playing with her and getting smiles and gurgles out of her...
