WE BAPTIZED EMILY ELIZABETH ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12.
My cousin Melissa and my Godson Michael are her Godparents. Melissa came from Massachusettes with my aunt Barbara and one of her sisters, Kerry. Uncle Jack and Laura stayed home...
The Baptism was nice; it was done during the regualr Mass at St. Stephen's, and there was another little baby being Baptized at the same time. Emily was a little fussy during the beginning of the Mass, but calmed down after a while, and was amazingly calm during the actual "process" of cleansing her from sin with Holy water. John and I both thought for sure that she would scream when Father Jim poured the water over her head, but she did not!
After the Mass, we went to the Country Club for brunch. It was really nice...Jackie and Lauren were there, as were our dear friends, the Nally's. John was really glad that Tony, Marge and Ashley were able to make the trip from East Aurora to spend a couple of hours with our family. Nicholas and Alyssa were thrilled, too, because they each got a special gift out of it!
Despite the fact that I was feeling a little under the weather and had abslutely NO voice whatsoever, the day was great! We really enjoyed spending time with friends and family!
I'm going to post a separate posting with just some pictures of the Baptism right after this one. Then, Thanksgiving is later this week, so I'll try to add a posting with pictures and stories about our Feast! Dinner is at Lori's new house, and we have to bring the Stove Top!!

ALYSSA WAS SLEEPING BEAUTY FOR HALLOWEEN!! Her preschool had a dress-up party on Tuesday, and Cinderella was there with her! Mommy, Nonnie and Emily came to the party, too, and we all had a great time!
NICHOLAS' CLASS HAD A HALLOWEEN PARTY ON TUESDAY, TOO! Of course, at West Street, the kids weren't allowed to dress up ~ for safety reasons! His party was still a lot of fun! I'm a room mother, so I got to help organize it and be there for it. All of the kids made a spider out of pipe cleaners and lolli-pops and played "Halloween Twister" and "Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin". They ate snacks and goodies and really had an awesome Halloween Party. Last week, Nicholas got invited to a Halloween party at his friend Michael's house, and tomorrow night, he has another one at his friend Brycen's house. Talk about a social calendar and Mr. Popularity!!
EMILY JUST WENT WITH THE FLOW THIS YEAR...I couldn't find Alyssa's old flower costume, so we put Emily in a terry bath robe with a duck on the hood. She actually looked rather adorable, if I do say so myself!! She didn't come Trick-or-Treating with us because I didn't want the hassle of pushing the stroller through all of the wet leaves since it had drizzled earlier in the day. John took her out for a ride to get his evening coffee and then met us at my mother's house. THe older kids and I walked up Washington Street to Nagel Place so we could see "Leigh-Leigh" and "Nin-Nin's House". Then we walked back to West Street and down to Nonnie's house. Both kids were extremely tired after the LONG walk!
OVERALL, HALLOWEEN WAS AWESOME! School parties were fun and the weather was great for both the parade and Trick-or-Treating! We'll be eating candy until Christmas!!
EMILY'S BAPTISM IS NEXT SUNDAY, so I'll post some pictures and a brief blog after that!!
